From police brutality to the scapegoating of refugees and migrants, from the growth of fascist parties in Europe to Islamophobia, we have seen a new racist offensive.

But we have also seen resistance to this; from the Black Lives Matter die-ins and protests after the killings of Michael Brown, Eric Garner and many others to the thousands that marched to say ‘refugees welcome here’ just this month.

Come to our event during Black History month to celebrate and learn from the struggles of the past – and plan how we challenge racism today.

Meetings and workshops include:

Challenging Islamophobia and the Prevent Agenda

By any means necessary: Malcolm X and the fight against racism
A History of Muslims in Britain
Preventing Prevent: a workshop for students, teachers and lecturers
