One world against racism & fascism: International coordinated protests for UN Anti Racism Day

Stand Up To Racism has been part of launching a call for coordinated mass anti racist demonstrations on (or around) 16 March, UN Anti Racism Day. Here in Britain, there will be major demonstrations in London, Glasgow and Cardiff on 16 March.

Other countries where anti racist movements have joined the call and are organising demonstrations so far include: US (New York and Washington DC), Brazil, Germany, Austria, Poland, Hungary, Netherlands, Denmark, France, Catalonia, Spain, Greece, Ireland, Turkey, Australia & Canada.

In the current climate of polarisation and a rise of the far right, fascism and racism, the internationally coordinated demonstrations around UN Anti Racism Day are a chance to project the voice of the anti racist majority, to give confidence to those who want to oppose racism everywhere, and to lay down a marker that can help build strong anti racist movements in our different areas.

We will update information of what’s happening where on this page. Part of building international solidarity around the demonstrations will be a plan to twin local Stand Up To Racism groups with areas elsewhere internationally who are building anti racist resistance. Email us at info@standuptoracism.org.uk if you would like to twin your group with an area.
