The Stand Up To Racism Winter Appeal weekend, 8-10 December 2017, saw up to £20k delivered to Care4Calais to support refugees in Northern France and Belgium.
With the bitter weather continuing and conditions for refugees appalling across the region we are announcing a second round of the appeal.
Our next delegation will go out to Calais on the weekend of 10-11 February 2018, straight after the Stand Up To Racism Trade Union Conference, supported by the TUC, that is being
held in London at Mabledon Place (NEU HQ) on Saturday 10 February. More on the conference here.
We will be running a coach as well as cars and you can go over and return on Sunday or stay and volunteer throughout the half term week.
You can collect financial support and items for Care4Calais in the run up to the weekend of 10-11 February.
Lord Alf Dubs, the author of the ‘Dubs Amendment’ on unaccompanied child refugees gave his support to the Stand Up To Racism & Care4Calais Winter Refugee Appeal and saw off
volunteers heading for Calais at Downing Street.
While collecting solidarity for refugees we are also demanding that the government lives up to the minimal commitments to give unaccompanied child refugees asylum now!

If you have a car book onto a Eurotunnel or a Ferry to Calais.
Let us know times of arrival. Aim to arrive Saturday night or Sunday morning before midday.
We recommend the youth hostel for affordable accommodation in Calais. If you have no car, we may have space – if not you can take train to Dover and take ferry to Calais as a foot passenger. We can arrange to meet you in Calais.
